Question: When can a Franchisee terminate a Franchise Agreement?Answer:
Most of the time, a Franchisee is restricted from being able to terminate a Franchise Agreement (except during the cooling off period).
Occasionally, a Franchise Agreement may contain a clause which allows a Franchisee to terminate, however, this is very rare. Nevertheless, the Franchise Agreement is still at its essence, a contract, so if the Franchisor and Franchisee come to an agreement, then potentially this means the Franchise Agreement can be terminated by either party following the usual rules for terminating a contract e.g. breach.
