IP Australia will send certified applications seeking international registration to the International Bureau (IB) of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO). Once the International Bureau has registered your trade mark, you cannot expand the goods and/or services claimed, and you cannot make any amendments to the trade mark filed. You can, however, amend the name and address details of the record holder or authorised representatives at any stage, and request to amend the goods and/or services to narrow the claim.
