A contractors agreement is entered into when one party wishes to engage a contractor to provide services. This contractors agreement is drafted to protect the interests of the party engaging the contractor and is intended to set out a description of the services and the commercial terms (e.g. price and payment method) at which the contractor will be engaged.
It is recommended that the contractor’s agreement is entered prior to the engagement. The contractor may agree to provide a one-off service for a set fee or continuing services to the principal for a pre-determined length of time for a fee.
