Question: What is an investor?
Answer:An investor is a person or legal entity such as a company, who invests funds in a business to enable it to start and/or expand, with the expectation of future financial gains. A Shareholder’s Agreement generally formalises the relationship between an investor and the business it is investing in if the investor is being issued with shares. If the investor is lending money to the business then the parties will enter into a loan agreement.
