Question: I am selling products online in Australia, but my products are shipped to customers directly by manufacturers. Who is responsible for dealing with consumers?Answer:
Usually the person selling the products one on one is responsible for the returns and refunds in relation to a product. However, as long as obligations in relation to Australian Consumer Law are met, you can set out in your dropship agreement who will be dealing with customer complaints. If your manufacturer is located overseas then you are considered the supplier and the manufacturer for the purposes of Australian Consumer Law.
