Question: What if there is missing information in the Disclosure Document?
Answer:The Franchisor is under an obligation to ensure the Disclosure Document is correctly completed. A failure by the Franchisor to answer all of the questions in the Disclosure Document may result in a significant fine which is currently set at a maximum of $54,000. If a Franchisor realises there is information missing from the Disclosure Document then they should update it immediately, and inform all existing Franchisees and prospective Franchisees of the incorrect or missing information and provide them with the correct information immediately.
