Question: My supplier wants to be able to stop supplying goods to me at any time, is this fair?Answer:
Usually, suppliers will set out reasons as to why or in what circumstances they would like to be able to terminate contracts and stop delivering products. If you are reliant on certain products for the delivery or sale of your own products then you should insist that these clauses, if unreasonable, be removed or varied. Ultimately, you want to feel comfortable that you will be able to receive products as required and won’t be left hanging by a supplier who suddenly terminates their obligations. When receiving or storing large amounts of stock, you should be aware of the PPSA implications relating to your products.
