1. You may take part in LegalVision’s partnership program, LV Partners, by referring work to LegalVision.
  2. The term of the partnership program is from the date of your registration in the program for 1 year, after which the program will continue automatically from month-to-month unless terminated. Either you or LegalVision can terminate the program by providing written notice to the other party (including by email).
  3. LegalVision may, in its absolute discretion, provide you with a referral fee or benefit for referring work to LegalVision.
  4. LegalVision will only pay you a benefit in relation to the first piece of work performed for each new client referred to LegalVision by you.
  5. LegalVision will not pay you any benefit for referred work until LegalVision has been paid in full for the referred work.
  6. LegalVision will not pay you any benefit for a referral that is or has been a LegalVision client, or an entity with which LegalVision has previously commenced discussions regarding the provision of legal services.
  7. You are responsible for ensuring that LegalVision is aware that you have referred work to LegalVision.
  8. These terms are not a commitment by you or LegalVision to work exclusively with each other regarding referrals of work. You are under no financial obligation to LegalVision and you are not required to refer work to LegalVision.
  9. If LegalVision becomes aware of an actual or potential conflict of interest between work referred by you and any other work LegalVision has been offered or is undertaking, LegaVision will take reasonable steps to resolve the conflict to its satisfaction, including not accepting, or ceasing, any referred work where appropriate.
  10. The relationship between you and LegalVision is that of independent contractors and not that of principal and agent, employer and employee, franchisor and franchisee, joint venturers or partners. You have no authority to create, assume or otherwise enter into any agreement that imposes rights or obligations on LegalVision, and LegalVision has no authority to create, assume or otherwise enter into any agreement that imposes rights or obligations on you. You must not, verbally, in writing or by any other communication (including marketing materials, websites and electronic media), indicate that you have more than a referral relationship with LegalVision.
  11. In referring work to LegalVision, you agree to comply with LegalVision’s privacy policy accessible at legalvision.com.au/privacy-policy, the Australian Privacy Principles set out in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and any other applicable legislation or privacy guidelines.
  12. You acknowledge that LegalVision is bound by obligations regarding disclosure of client information and that LegalVision may refuse to provide you with information about work referred to LegalVision in order to protect client confidentiality.
  13. LegalVision will not pay benefits in contravention of any law or professional standards.
  14. LegalVision will not pay or receive benefits for referrals in Western Australia.
