Summary / Bio:
Emma Jervis heads our franchising law team, acting for franchisors and franchisees in both the ‘back-end’ work, such as the preparation of franchise documents, and on the ‘front-end’ i.e. in relation to any disputes. Emma aims to be a ‘one-stop franchising shop’ for her franchise clients, who find her direct and concise advice invaluable in operating their own businesses.
Emma has over 10 years legal experience, including acting on a number of large franchise disputes in the Federal Court system. Emma uses her background in litigation to guide the dispute resolution process, and aims to obtain commercial resolutions for her franchising clients without the need for Court intervention.
In the employment sphere, Emma and her team can assist with contract drafting, advices on all employment related issues, and acting in relation to employment disputes, including in unfair dismissal or Court proceedings.
Outside of the office, Emma enjoys making the most of Sydney’s restaurant and bar scene, and will happily provide her recommendations.
My sincere thanks for all your hard work. You have certainly given me peace of mind that I have ticked this box properly. I appreciate your promptness and approach. The process works very well.– Bert van Spronsen, Owner, Kui Parks
Without the help of LegalVision, there is no way that we could have launched the site with any kind of confidence. In our case, we’re dealing with copyright law and complex music licensing requirements so it’s always prudent to seek good legal advice. We are very happy with the outcome of the legal documents, most of which are proudly displayed on our website.– Rebecca Butler, Founder, Littleville
Working with LegalVision was great. Very friendly staff and a quick turnaround. We have essentially no legal experience in house, but LegalVision broke down the legal concepts into manageable chunks. We’ve developed a great rapport and feel like we can call on them for any legal needs going forward.– Doug Morris, General Manager, Sharesight
